KCAP in city development seminar and conference during Dutch Days Chongqing, September 17 and 18

16 September 2015

From September 16-21, the Netherlands Consulate-General in Chongqing organizes the Dutch Days in Chongqing. Chongqing is new territory for the Dutch Days as the latest addition to the growing list of Chinese cities in which the Dutch diplomatic network organises this series of Dutch events. All events will take place under the Chinese slogan 耍荷兰 (shua helan), which utilizes Chongqing dialect to invite participants to interact with Holland in a playful way. In total there are more than ten programme elements covering different disciplines, while focusing on the Dutch creative industries.

KCAP participated already in previous years and will on September 17th be involved in a half-day themed seminar with a focus on city development and smart cities. The seminar is aimed at bringing together Chinese and Dutch expertise in the fields of urban planning, architecture, and design, to take initial steps in developing a Sino-Dutch vision on city development in west China. The seminar will showcase multi-disciplinary thinking by leading Dutch planners and urban innovators. The event will contain 3 presentations (by KCAP, MVRDV and AIM) and a panel discussion.

The same experts will be presenting at the city development conference on September 18th.

Planner and representative of KCAP China Ms. Ya-Hsin Chen is invited as the speaker of the seminar.
